Stripe MRR dashboard: Baremetrics or ChartMogul on your Stripe data

Last reviewed October 23, 2026

Quick answerStripe's Billing analytics already report MRR, churn and lifetime value. ChartMogul is free up to $10K MRR; Baremetrics Launch is $49 a month with yearly billing on and adds Recover and Cancellation Insights.

Stripe MRR dashboard: what Stripe shows and what it does not

Stripe has an MRR dashboard of its own. The Billing overview in the Stripe Dashboard reports MRR, MRR growth by component, subscriber churn, ARPU (average MRR per paid subscriber), lifetime value, trial conversion and cohort retention.

To check MRR in Stripe:

  1. Open the Billing overview in the Stripe Dashboard and read the Revenue, Subscribers, Trials and Churn reports.
  2. Click Configure to change how Stripe counts MRR, churn and active subscribers.
  3. Export a metric from its detail page, or use the prebuilt CSV reports, which log every MRR change for each customer.

Stripe's MRR leaves out taxes, subscribers on free plans and metered (usage-based) products, and counts canceled or unpaid subscriptions as churn. Filtering MRR by product or price is a preview feature, unavailable for multi-currency subscription volume. Stripe's revenue recovery docs add recovery analytics: failure rates, recovery rates and recent failed payments for top customers.

Baremetrics' Stripe comparison page says Stripe offers top-line MRR with no MRR movements, LTV or ARPU, while Stripe's analytics page describes all three. This page rests no verdict on that disagreement.

Baremetrics on Stripe: MRR, churn and LTV

Baremetrics connects to Stripe natively, and says it is a Stripe Verified Partner with nearly half its customers on Stripe. Its pricing page says it tracks over 28 key subscription metrics, including MRR, ARR and churn rate, and its Stripe comparison page names LTV and ARPU. Launch, up to $360K ARR, is $49 a month with the pricing page's yearly-billing switch on and $75 with it off. The Metrics page says "14 Days Free. No Credit Card Required."

Beyond the metrics, Baremetrics sells Recover (Payment Recovery), +$129 a month on any plan, which sends emails, SMS, in-app banners and a hosted card-update form and works with Stripe. Cancellation Insights, also +$129 a month, collects cancellation reasons and can show a discount through a Stripe coupon; it needs the Baremetrics Stripe app.

ChartMogul on Stripe: a Free plan, then Starter

ChartMogul Free covers up to $10K MRR, with unlimited team members and one billing source. Starter connects one billing system such as Stripe plus two custom or third-party sources, with up to 3 team members; Pro connects multiple billing systems and pushes data to your warehouse. A built-in CRM is included, the trial is 14 days without a credit card, and the pricing page lists no dunning or cancel flow.

What each costs at $300K ARR

At $300K ARR, about $25,000 MRR, a business sits inside Baremetrics Launch's $0 to $360K band and ChartMogul's first Starter step, which runs to $500K ARR; ChartMogul's Free plan stops at $10K MRR.

On yearly billing, Baremetrics Launch is $49 a month against $57 for ChartMogul Starter; on monthly billing, $75 against $69. Stripe's analytics sit inside Billing, which is 0.7% of Billing volume on pay as you go, and Stripe's Billing page lists "Billing analytics and benchmarks" without the asterisk it uses for features at an additional cost.

Pick Stripe's own dashboard when MRR, churn and cohorts from Stripe subscriptions are enough; Baremetrics' comparison page tells a reader who needs only payment volume and basic subscription counts to start there. Pick ChartMogul for a Free plan up to $10K MRR on one billing system. Pick Baremetrics when recovery and cancellation capture should sit beside the metrics.
